JEFFERSON — Taylor Wilkes allowed just one hit and fanned nine to lead Jefferson to a 10-0 win in five innings over East Jackson Tuesday in Region 8-AAA baseball action.
The Dragons (10-3, 6-1 Region 8-AAA) pounded out 13 hits. Wilkes and Will Breese each had three hits, including a home run by Wilkes in the second inning. Joshua Hutch had a two-run triple in a four-run first inning. Caleb Chandler had a hit and two RBI.
Jefferson led 5-0 after the second inning and added two runs in the fourth and three in the fifth to put the game away.
Austin Thomas had the Eagles only hit in the second inning.
Jefferson will travel to East Jackson for a doubleheader on Friday.
