GAINESVILLE — North Hall completed a series sweep of Madison County Monday at Jody Davis Field.
Jackson Latty had a three-run triple and a solo home run to help lead the Trojans to an 11-1, six-inning win over the Red Raiders in Region 8-AAAA action.
Madison County (9-2, 0-2 Region 8-AAAA) led 1-0 heading into the bottom of the third. But Latty gave the Trojans (7-4, 2-0) the lead with his triple as part of a four-run third. Latty’s home run highlighted a five-run fifth inning.
Reece Olson got the win on the mound allowing just one run in six innings while striking out six. He helped set up the finish getting out of a bases loaded jam with no outs in the fifth without allowing a run.
John Mark Montgomery ended it with a bases loaded walk for the final score.
Clark Hill had three hits. Austin Adams and Taber Mongero had two hits each for North Hall.
