More than two dozen cook teams have registered for the 12th Annual Spring Chicken Festival Chicken Cook-Off in downtown Gainesville April 30.
In addition to the cook-off, the festival will also include a parade and art market.
The cook-off consists of two divisions: Professional and Backyard Bar-B-Q. Prizes will be awarded in both categories. The Grand Champion will receive $1,000 and get to keep the Chicken City Cup for one year.
