University of North Georgia catcher Sam Tidaback has been named Peach Belt Conference AstroTurf Player of the Week, the league announced Tuesday afternoon.
Tidaback went 8-for-13 (.615) against Carson-Newman this past weekend, helping the Nighthawks to a three-game sweep over the Eagles. The Plainfield, Illinois native hit two doubles, a home run, five RBI and scored seven runs over the weekend.
The Nighthawks return to action Saturday afternoon as they welcome Kentucky Wesleyan to Dahlonega for a three-game set. Saturday's twin bill will start at 1 p.m.
