Gwinnett County Police have identified the suspect accused of swindling an Auburn man out of $31,000 as a Buford man.
Jack Oviedo, 25, is wanted on a felony theft by taking charge for a phony car sale, police said.
His whereabouts are currently unknown, and authorities believe he may have fled the state.
Oviedo allegedly advertised a 2013 Infinity QX56, and told the victim to wire a payment into a BB&T account for the sale.
At that point, the suspect disappeared, and could no longer be reached.
Anyone with information on Oviedo's whereabouts is asked to contact police.
