Polls opened across North Georgia and the rest of the state at 7 a.m. for one of the most contentious presidential races in history.
Heavy early voter turnout prompted local elections directors to predict long lines all day Tuesday, but many precincts had lower numbers thanks to advance voter turnout.
AccessWDUN will be visiting polling places in the region to capture images of Election 2016. Please feel free to send your photos for publication to [email protected], but remember that taking "ballot selfies" at the voting booth is illegal.
Georgia's polls are open until 7 p.m. Tuesday.
