Lexi Kent has earned the Appalachian Athletic Conference women's soccer Defender of the Week after her outstanding start to the AAC Tournament last week as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
Kent started out the week by earning a shutout over eighth-seeded Milligan Tuesday in the tournament play-in game. She followed that up with a nine-save performance against top-seeded and 15th-ranked Reinhardt Saturday night to advance to the semifinals of the tournament.
Kent and the Bears will next head up to Tennessee Wesleyan for the final rounds of the tournament. They will take on the host Bulldogs on Thursday morning at 11:30 in Athens, Tenn.
