DULUTH — Mill Creek tuned up for the playoffs in style on Friday night.
The top-ranked Hawks -- who were coming off a bye -- pulled away from Duluth early en route to a 56-0 victory in Duluth.
Already Region 6-AAAAAAA champion, Mill Creek will enter the state playoffs next week against fourth-seeded Newton in Hoschton.
The Hawks (10-0, 6-0 Region 6-AAAAAAA) ran out to a 21-0 first quarter lead on Friday and made it 49-0 at the half.
Rafael Morales led Mill Creek with nine rushes for 65 yards and two scores, while Anthony Presto put up 58 yards and two scores on seven carries. Joe Thomas also added 35 yards and a touchdown.
Quarterback Cameron Turley was 7 of 14 passing for 101 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Ace Williams caught two passes for 65 yards and a score.
