COMMERCE — Commerce football has seemingly found its mojo at just the right time.
The Tigers rolled to a second straight impressive victory over another Class A playoff hopeful on Friday, this time hammering George Walton Academy 42-6 in Commerce.
Commerce piled up 544 yards of offense, including 474 yards rushing -- incluing 192 yards on 18 carries for Cole Chancey and 157 yards on 19 carries for Lane Sorrow. Sorrow scored three touchdowns on the night, including runs of 50 and 12 yards and a 22-yard strike to Kyre Ware. Chancey also finished with two touchdown runs, while Will Thomas added an eight-yard scoring run in the fourth quarter.

Commerce will await the Class A Public ratings index to determine their state playoff fortunes. The Tigers will host a first round game -- it's a matter of whether they will receive a top eight seed and a bye in the first round or play host to an opponent in the first round next Friday.
