Charges have been upgraded against the Oakwood woman arrested in connection with a Saturday homicide at the Circle K in Braselton, and now two more people face charges in the shooting death of 56-year-old James Harold Walls.

Braselton Assistant Police Chief Lou Solis confirmed Friday that additional charges were filed against Angela Nicole Baker, 28, of Oakwood after investigators reviewed surveillance footage from the Circle K on Highway 124 at Highway 211.

"We had enough evidence there to charge her with party to a crime and conspiracy to commit a crime," said Solis.

Baker initially was charged with obstruction and tampering with evidence when she was arrested following the October 29 shooting. Baker had been in the victim's vehicle prior to the shooting and apparently took his phone when she left the scene.

Solis said Baker's mother, 48-year-old Paula Agans of Oakwood, also faces charges in the case because she came to the crime scene and picked her daughter up without talking to police.

"As a matter of fact, her van on video - you can see the van pass right by the police officer," said Solis. "Once we got the video and saw the vehicle...we charged the mother with obstruction and we also charged the mother with hindering the apprehension."

Solis said a third suspect identified as Travis Brady, a friend of Baker's, took the phone and threw it in Lake Lanier.

"Angela had given him the victim's phone and Brady threw it in the lake," said Solis.

He said investigators took Brady, who was in jail on unreleated charges, to a location where he claimed to have tossed the phone. The Hall County Sheriff's Dive Team searched, but did not find the phone.

Baker, Agans and Brady all are incarcerated at the Barrow County Jail.

Solis said investigators are still working to determine the identity of the shooter.
