A man believed responsible for a September murder in Gainesville has been captured, authorities said Thursday.
Darvis Donquan "Tookie" Bledson, 33, is accused of shooting and killing Terry Jerome "TJ" Maddox, 30, on Athens Street the night of Sept. 9.
According to a social media post by the Gainesville Police Department, Bledson was arrested with help from U.S. Marshals; he faces a felony murder charge.
Maddox was killed at a former club that is now used for private events.
The night of the shooting, police said there was a crowd of people outside the venue, but they were unsure if a party was happening.
Authorities initially believed Bledson was hiding in metro Atlanta.
