AMERICUS — The University of North Georgia men's soccer team made a first half penalty kick conversion hold up as the Nighthawks downed Georgia Southwestern, 1-0, Wednesday afternoon at Hurricane Field. UNG advances to 8-8 on the year with a 5-2 mark in the Peach Belt Conference.
The lone score of the day came in the 38-th minute as UNG took advantage of a foul in the box resulting in a penalty kick. Adam Farrell converted the opportunity into the score to give the Nighthawks the eventual game-winner.
