A weekend motorcycle accident on Buford Dam Road near Cumming claimed the life of a Forsyth County man.
Forsyth County sheriff's deputies said Tuesday morning they were called to the crash site on the Buford Dam Road bridge over Georgia 400 around 1:30 a.m. Saturday.
Investigators think 52-year-old Donald Stone of Cumming was operating his 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle on the bridge when the engine on the bike malfunctioned and began to spray oil on the roadway. The vehicle slid and Stone lost control. He was ejected from the bike and hit a guardrail.
Investigators said they also believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
The Cumming Police Department also responded to the scene of the accident.
