A teacher at Lanier Middle School who apparently went on a racist rant at the Sugar Hill school two weeks ago has been reassigned to a different job in the Gwinnett County Public School System.
The Gwinnett Daily Post reported the teacher was removed from the classroom for about a week while a human resources investigation took place.
The teacher, whose name has not been released publicly, was said to have yelled at a group of black students for leaving a club meeting early. Later in the day, the same teacher reportedly had a discussion in class where she was said to have made inappropriate comments.
The newspaper spoke with a Gwinnett schools spokeswoman, but she said was not made aware of where the teacher was reassigned.
