TOCCOA — Freshman Taylor Mills was red-hot from 3-point range Tuesday night going 7-of-9 from deep leading the Lions to a 90-69 win over Toccoa Falls College. Mills contributed 21 points in the contest, all from beyond the arc, as he was just one three shy of tying the Piedmont men's basketball individual single game record.

The Lions started well as the game was tied at seven, but Piedmont reeled off a 10-0 run to break open the game, including in that run the first of Mills' seven threes. Piedmont led 50-30 at the half as Mills hit four of his seven 3-pointers before the break. Daniel McCravy was perfect from the floor in the first half accounting for eight points, five rebounds and two blocks.

Piedmont built its lead to 33, its largest of the night, thanks to a 15-2 run early in the second half, leading 75-42. The Lions only trailed once in the game after the Screaming Eagles hit their first bucket of the night to take a 3-2 lead.

There were four Lions in double figures as Mills led the way with 21 points, Chase England scored 14 while Justin Vallejo accounted for 13 and McCravy notched 12 points. For McCravy, his 12 points and nine rebounds both marked career-bests for the junior.
