The Flowery Branch girls softball team took a key 4-2 victory over Apalachee in Region 8-AAAAA action on Tuesday.
Junior Mackenzie Harris and freshman Alyssa Kimbrell combined for the win on the mound for the Lady Falcons, who improved to 7-3 in region play.
Senior Bailey Sims drove in the first run while freshman third baseman Alexis Nixon drove in the final run.
