The USA South Athletic Conference has released the third Player of the Week listing for the 2015-16 academic year with a pair of Lady Lion soccer players making the cut as well as volleyball player Emily Peters who earned Rookie of the Week. For the women's soccer team, freshman Cassidy Reich earned both Women's Soccer Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week while Michaela Gardner took Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week.
This is the first award for Peters and the women's volleyball team this season after an impressive start to conference play last weekend. For Gardner, this marks her second Defensive Player of the Week nod as she took the honor in the first week of the season while Reich earned Rookie of the Week in week one as well with this marking her first Player of the Week award.
The USA South Athletic Conference announces its weekly honor roll each Monday while the listing for golf is announced on Wednesdays. At least half of the teams in a sport must have competed within the previous week for honors to be awarded.
