Malik Tuck knew his team needed this one… and the senior running back played like it.
One game removed from its first loss of the season Jackson County found itself locked in a dogfight on Friday -- and Tuck was there to help provide the knockout blow.
Tuck rushed for 351 yards and four touchdowns on 36 carries to help the panthers edge out East Hall 34-28 in overtime.
The win moved Jackson County to 3-1 on the season and gave the Panthers a boost heading into the Region 8-AAA portion of their schedule.
For his efforts, Tuck has been named the Locos Grill and Pub Friday Game Night Player of the Week.
Friday Game Night editor Morgan Lee recently caught up with Tuck to present him with his award and talk to the running back about his performance, the Panthers surge under a new head coach and the challenges ahead.
