GAINESVILLE - This year's Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce HealthSmart Expo will focus on "older adults." It will be held Wednesday, October 7 from 7:30-1:30 at the Gainesville Civic Center.
The HealthSmart Interactive Wellness Expo presented by CIGNA will be free and open to the public and will feature more than 60 wellness exhibitors, according to chamber officials, as well as free health screenings - and some exhibit space is still available.
It will begin with a breakfast at 7:30 sponsored by the Northeast Georgia Medical Center. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Marc E.Agronin, a board-certified adult and geriatric psychiatrist, nationally recognized for his clinical acumen and research in psychiatry. Since 1999, he has served as the Medical Director for Mental Health and Clinical Research at the Miami Jewish Health Systems, Florida’s largest long-term care institution.
