Three drug busts yield six arrests, $23.8K worth of drugs

GAINESVILLE—Agents with the Hall County Multi-Agency Narcotics Squad (MANS), in three separate cases, have arrested six people and seized $23,800 worth of drugs.

The first netted four arrests: Sarah Lierin Corley, 29, of Braselton; Christopher Thomas Martin, 24, of Gainesville; Gerald Thomas Housewright, 32, of Gainesville; and Caitlen Ann Cormier, 21, of Flowery Branch.

All four were arrested without incident, according to MANS Lt. Scott Ware. Agents confiscated more than four ounces of methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana, eight Aprazolam pills and an AK47 rifle from the four suspects. The meth holds an estimated street value of $11,200.

The suspects met officers at a pre-determined location for what they thought would be a drug deal. All were booked into the Hall County jail on various charges.

The second case also involved a pre-determined setup, but only a single person.

Michael Justin Shubert, 30, of Gainesville, met officers with approximately three ounces of meth, valued at $8,400 and a .40 caliber pistol tucked into his waistband.

Officers arrested him on charges of trafficking/possession of meth and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony; he was booked into the Hall County jail without incident.

The third case again involved meth.

Joshua Andrew Johnston, 37, of Lawrenceville, met officers in Oakwood with approximately 40 grams of meth and Clonazepam tablets. Their combined value is $4,200.

Johnston was arrested and booked into the Hall County jail without incident.

He faces charges of trafficking and possession charges for both drugs.
