Hall BOE approves latest personnel recommendations

GAINESVILLE — The Hall County Board of Education approved several personnel recommendations at a called meeting Tuesday morning, including three new principals, bringing to seven the number of new principals approved for the coming school year.
 
The recommendations involving the latest personnel action had been announced last week by Schools Supt. Will Schofield.
 
Dr. Karla Swafford will become Director of Special Education; she currently serves as West Hall Middle School Principal.  Dr. Swafford will replace Katherine Culver, who had recently announced her retirement. Rodney Stephens replaces Swafford as West Hall Middle School Principal; he currently serves as an Assistant Principal at the school.  
 
Kristin Finley will be the new Principal at East Hall Middle School; she currently serves as an Assistant Principal at West Hall Middle.   Finley will replace Dr. Vicki Tribble, who had recently announced her retirement.
 
Jennifer Kogod will become Principal at Chestatee Academy; she currently serves as an Assistant Principal at the school.  Kogod will replace Dr. David Robles, who was recently approved to become Purchasing Manager for the district.
 
The board had approved three other new principals for the 2015-16 school-year last month:
 
Donna Wiggins, Principal at Riverbend Elementary, to replace Dr. Debra Smith, who retired.  
 
Laurie Hitzges, Co-Principal at World Language Academy, to team with current Co-Principal Brittany Bennett.  
 
Pam Doig, Principal at McEver Arts Academy, to replace Dr. Catherine Rosa, who retired.
