ATLANTA -- Jefferson split with Westminster Tuesday in the two teams' best-of-three Class AAA semifinals series.
The Dragons won Game 1, 5-4, behind Micah Carpernter, but fell 6-0 in Game 2 as the Wildcats stormed back to force a deciding Game 3.
The two teams will decide the series beginning at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at Westminster.
Jefferson is trying to reach its first-ever championship series. The Dragons last made it to the semifinal round in 2007 before losing in three games to Eagles Landing Christian.
