Baseball: Spartans hold off Dawson Co.

DAWSONVILLE -- Charlie Cochran went 5 1/3 innings striking out seven while leading West Hall to a 9-6 win over Dawson County Wednesday in Region 7-AAA action.

Cochran (1-1) allowed three runs in earning the win on the mound.

Carter Lott had two hits, including a home run, and three RBI to pace the Spartans offense. Trey Horton had three hits and two RBI and Zack Collins had two hits and two RBI.

West Hall (5-4, 3-1 Region 7-AAA) next will play host to Lumpkin County on Friday in another Region 7-AAA battle.
