WASHINGTON - Nearly 537,000 people in Georgia are signed up for coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace, according to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HSS).
On February 15, the second year of Open Enrollment came to a close with 536,929 Georgians selecting a plan or being automatically re-enrolled with coverage through the Health Insurance Marketplace.
Nationwide, about 11.4 million people selected Marketplace plans or were automatically re-enrolled, including about 8.6 million in the states that use the HealthCare.gov platform (such as Georgia), and about 2.8 million in the State-Based Marketplaces based on those states
