WCSO deputy, state trooper recognized for drug cases

CLEVELAND - White County Deputy Sheriff Richard Tabbott and Georgia State Patrol Trooper 1st Class Chase Greene recently received the Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office's Interdiction Award for 2014. <br />

The award is given annually to the law enforcement officer in the region served by the office who makes the most narcotics cases from traffic stops. This year there was a tie, so, awards were made to both Tabbott and Greene. <br />

The Appalachian Regional Drug Enforcement Office is a multi-agency unit that consists of the following sheriff's offices: White County, Lumpkin County, Towns County, Banks County, Habersham County, Stephens County, and Rabun County, along with the Georgia National Guard Counter Drug Task Force, the state Department of Public Safety, and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.
