DAHLONEGA — In its final tune up before conference play, the University of North Georgia women's basketball team led wire-to-wire in a decisive 81-34 victory over Reinhardt on Monday evening in UNG's Memorial Hall. Kelsey Hutchins and Lauren Pounds scored 21 and 10 points respectively and were the only Nighthawks to reach double figures in scoring.

North Georgia improves to 7-1 overall while Reinhardt slides to 4-9.

The UNG defense allowed just 34 points, marking the first time since a Nov. 29, 2011 win over Truett-McConnell (65-31) that the Nighthawks have held a team under 35 total points.

Ten different players made their way into the scoring column.

Cierra Jackson missed her fifth double-double of the season by a single point as the senior guard collected a game-high 11 rebounds.

The Nighthawks assisted on 19 of their 30 made baskets, highlighted by a season-high six helpers from Julie McKie.

Danielle Pray was the lone Eagle to score in double figures, netting 12 points on 4-of-15 from the floor.

UNG limited Reinhardt to only seven points in three of the four quarters and led by as many as 50 (81-31) with 1:27 left in the game following a layup by freshman guard Lochlain Corliss.
