GAINESVILLE — Chestatee High School announced on Friday that head football coach Bill Forman has resigned his position.

Forman served the War Eagles for two seasons as head coach after being promoted from the team's defensive coordinator.

Chestatee went 1-19 the past two campaigns, including 0-10 in 2015 -- though Forman's defenses in 2012 and 2013 helped the War Eagles go 17-6 with a state playoff victory.

"I appreciate coach Forman for what he has given to our program. He is a good man and a good coach that has had a positive impact on the lives of our students here at CHS," said Chestatee athletic director Ben Corley via statement. “Coach Forman has been responsible for laying a foundation of discipline and accountability for our football program, and we will build on that foundation as we move forward.”
