By The Associated Press

ATHENS - A man accused of kidnapping a University of Georgia student has been arrested.

Police tell multiple news media that 31-year-old Michael Ryan King kidnapped the student Tuesday in her car inside the Tate Student Center parking deck on campus then forced her to drive an ATM about three miles away and make a withdrawal. Police say the woman was able to escape.

King has been charged with felony kidnapping, felony attempted robbery and misdemeanor sexual battery.

King is being held at the Clarke County Jail. It's not clear whether King has an attorney.
