Baldwin charges two in pharmacy burglary

HIAWASSEE - Baldwin Police Chief Chad Nichols has announced the arrest of two people in connection with the Dec. 14 burglary at Fieldale Family Health Center.<br /> <br /> Nichols said his officers obtained warrants for 22-year-old Elliott Mattox and 20-year-old Chelsie Hill, both of Sylva, N.C., after the initial investigation.<br /> <br /> Baldwin Police Department requested and received help from the North Georgia Regional Drug Enforcement Office, which helped with the ongoing investigation and with locating the suspects.<br /> <br /> On Jan. 2, NGRDEO agents located and arrested Mattox and Hill in Hiawassee. They two are charged with burglary.<br /> <br /> A search warrant of the home where the two had been staying in Hiawassee was conducted by RDEO agents, Baldwin police and Towns County Sheriff's Office. <br /> <br /> That search yielded items related to the Fieldale pharmacy burglary, Nichols said.<br /> <br /> Mattox and Hill remain in the Towns County Detention Center, awaiting transport to Habersham County, Nichols said Saturday afternoon.<br /> <br /> Nichols thanked all agencies from Georgia and North Carolina that assisted Baldwin police in their investigation.
