GAINESVILLE - Enota Elementary School will be joining schools around the world to celebrate Walk to School Day on October 8.

Approximately 250 Enota students will be walking to school along with parents, teachers and community leaders such as the Mayor and Gainesville City Council members. The idea is to walk to school together with a purpose-to promote health, safe walking or biking routes to school, physical activity and concern for our environment.

Now in its fourteenth year, Walk to School Day is expected to include schools from all 50 states.
