BOLINGBROKE, Ga. (AP) -- Authorities in Monroe County say one of two sheriff's deputies who was wounded in a shooting has died.<br />

County Coroner Joey Proctor says Michael Norris was pronounced dead Sunday morning after being shot while he and another deputy were responding to a call about a suicidal man on Saturday night in Bolingbroke - about 15 miles northwest of Macon.<br />

Proctor says Norris was shot in his head and a second deputy was wounded in his leg and arm. Authorities say the man who fired the shots has been taken into custody.
