CLEVELAND -- White County threw some cold water on Dawson County's late-season charge on Thursday, as Spencer Adams shut down the Tigers in a 8-0 win in Cleveland.
Adams struck out 14 Dawson County batters in 6 innings work and allowed just three hits in the shutout.
Meanwhile, Trey Allen and Parker Applewhite (2 for 3) each drove in three runs for the Warriors, while Peyton Applewhite and Trey Gerrin (2 for 4) each added RBI.
Levi Whitmire led the Tigers with two hits.
White County pounced for a 4-0 lead in the first and added two more runs in the second inning to pad its advantage.
White County travels to Fannin County on Friday, while travels to Banks County.
