About Easter and America

I think it fair to say every now and then that the government of the United States is built on a Judeo-Christian foundation. We are the example of success for democracy in the history of Western Civilization. We have certain fundamental beliefs that are written into our Constitution, and especially into the Bill of Rights, that other countries do not have. We have some "unalienable" rights that should never be taken from us, or controlled by government. We separate church and state. We neither want the church to run our government, or our government to run our church. And yet in this day and time the question is being asked: are we a Christian nation? If you mean does the Christian church run our government, the answer is no. If the question means are the majority of American citizens Christian? The answer is yes. Look around you. Every community has a church building or so. There are hundreds more churches in America than county courthouses. One of the great moments in Christian life is Easter. It is not a government holiday. It is a Christian celebration
