Riverside rifle team shoots way into state championship match

The Riverside Military Academy air rifle team shot its way into the state championship match courtesy a victory over Jordan.

Riverside racked up 1,122 points -- led by Yuwu Xia's 286 out of a possible 300 -- to Jordan's 1,074.

The Eagles will compete for the Georgia High School Association championship at Fort Benning on April 12 in Columbus.

Riverside team members include Benjamin Park, a senior from Seoul, Korea; twin brothers and seniors Yuwen Xia and Yuwu Xia from Dali, China, Yuchen Wang, a junior from Kuming Yunnan, China, Nevan Segraves, an eighth grader from Tennessee, and SoonHyung Kim, a sophomore from Seoul, Korea.
