TIGER -- Ashley Parker and Karlie Bearden each recorded a double-double to lead Dawson County to a 73-50 win over Rabun County Tuesday in girls basketball action.<br />

Parker finished with 21 points and 14 rebounds and Bearden had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Tigers (4-0). Sheyenne Seabolt scored 12 points, Haley Burgess had nine, and Katelynn Simpson and Jordan Moore each poured in eight points for Dawson County.<br />

The Lady Tigers jumped out to a 19-9 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. Rabun County trimmed the lead to 34-25 by halftime but Dawson County pulled away for a 51-38 heading into the fourth quarter and outscored Rabun County 22-12 in the final period.<br />

Dawson County is off until next Tuesday when the Lady Tigers will play host to East Hall to open the Region 7-AAA schedule.
