Cross country: Union boys win 8-AA title; RMA finishes third

GAINESVILLE -- Union County won the Region 8-AA boys cross country meet at Riverside Military Academy Wednesday.<br />

The Panthers finished with 38 points to win the title. Social Circle edged out Riverside Military with 70 points to the Eagles' 73 for second place. Greene County took fourth with 107 points.<br />

The top four teams advanced to next week's state meet in carrollton.<br />
<br />
Arthur Porter of Greene County won the individual race with time 17:13.40 beating Union County's Lance Underwood by less than two seconds for the title. Lexx Joya of Riverside was fourth.
