In addition to fitRaise there are nine other companies vying for the top honors from around the country. As the only company from GA and just one of two from the Southeast, Bobby Valentine, CEO and co-Founder of fitRaise says "This is a great opportunity to show that innovation and advancement can come from areas outside of New York and San Francisco. It may be more difficult but it can and does happen"
Mobile Future Chair Jonathan Spalter said "Our finalists have leveraged wireless technology in new ways that have tremendous potential to truly make the world a better place."

The local start-up is getting ready to launch its main platform later this month. The platform is designed to allow charity organizations to raise money for causes through the fitness activities of supporters using a unique peer to peer pledge process. They have taken the local 5k virtual and global.

"What's really exciting to see is that we're in this competition before even putting our product on the market," Valentine added. "It shows early proof of concept and builds energy for our launch later this month. I hope people will take two minutes to see the fitRaise entry video on www.themobileys.com and bring this award to North Georgia."
