Behind the Badge

I have become a big picture guy. I acknowledge that the end result of most everything, as it applies to the bigger picture, is only possible due to the countless amounts of small picture issues that must take place on the front end. I understand it; I acknowledge it; I just don't want to be involved with it.

I'm thrilled to paint a picture for you; a very big one if needed, and leave it up to someone else to buy the paint, brushes, canvass, rent the studio space, etcetera. When I get involved with all of the detail work, I sometimes forget what it was that I wanted to paint in the first place.
It's the minutia that I can't deal with.

Now, admittedly, there are some who will say that this type of attitude is a selfish, immature, and even a demeaning way to approach life. Who knew? Who cares?

Just tell me who won. Does any of that other stuff really matter? And will any of that other stuff matter in the next election. That same demographic may very well vote Republican next time. Who knows? Who cares? I know that these comments have every political consultant out there cringing, since they thrive on such stuff, both philosophically and economically; but I really believe that we have reached the point where we are over evaluating
