'Giving Tuesday' celebrates charitable activities

REDMOND, Wa. - Tuesday, December 3, marks the second annual #GivingTuesday, a special day set aside following Black Friday and Cyber Monday to promote and celebrate charitable activities that support nonprofit organizations. <br /> <br /> For the second year, Microsoft is a founding sponsor of #GivingTuesday and is participating again this year to recognize the impact of individuals that support opportunities for education, employment and entrepreneurship among young people around the world.<br /> <br /> In the weeks leading up to #GivingTuesday, Microsoft has been highlighting 30 employee "Giving Heroes" who have made a significant and direct impact on the lives of young people in their communities.
