REDMOND, Wa. - Tuesday, December 3, marks the second annual #GivingTuesday, a special day set aside following Black Friday and Cyber Monday to promote and celebrate charitable activities that support nonprofit organizations. <br />

For the second year, Microsoft is a founding sponsor of #GivingTuesday and is participating again this year to recognize the impact of individuals that support opportunities for education, employment and entrepreneurship among young people around the world.<br />

In the weeks leading up to #GivingTuesday, Microsoft has been highlighting 30 employee "Giving Heroes" who have made a significant and direct impact on the lives of young people in their communities. To participate in #GivingTuesday and be a "Giving Hero" for a young person, visit: GlobalGiving.org/YouthSpark/Heroes and make a donation. Microsoft will match donations to youth serving organizations such as Boys & Girls Club of America, FIRST Robotics, Code.org and the "I Have a Dream" Foundation.<br />
