DAHLONEGA -- The White County girls basketball team overcame a nine-point deficit to Lumpkin County with a big second half to rally for a 32-25 win on Saturday.
The Lady Warriors trailed 18-9 at halftime but outscored Lumpkin County (2-16) 23-7 in the second half.
White County was paced by The Lady Warriors had balanced scoring with Cassie Carter and Riley Slaton with seven points each. Kaitlyn Gearing and Paige Thomas added six points apiece for the Lady Warriors.
Lumpkin County, which has lost 12 straight, was led by sophomore Lacey Robinson with seven points. Randi Malone had six points for the Lady Indians.
White County won the game at the free throw line hitting 13-of-28 for the game while Lumpkin County was just 4-of-14.
Lumpkin County next will play host to Johnson in Region 8B-AAAA on Tuesday. White County travels to Fannin County on Tuesday.
