Volleyball: East Hall rolling, sweeps tri-match

DAHLONEGA -- The East Hall girls volleyball team ran its win streak to six after taking a pair of wins Tuesday on the road.

The Lady Vikings (8-3) beat Tallulah Falls in three sets 25-9, 22-25, 25-19 and then whipped Lumpkin County in straight sets 25-18, 25-18 to complete the sweep.

Brittney Campbell paced East Hall with 18 points on serve with eight aces and added eight digs and 25 assists.

Emily Hoggard had 14 points on serve with three aces, 11 kills and seven digs. Kara Hix scored 11 points on serve and 17 digs.

TT Shelton scored had three aces and 10 kills and Tarryn Long had 11 kills and nine digs for East Hall. Emily Roberts had 18 point on serve and Allison Segars and Cassida Shockley each added four kills for the Lady Vikings.

The team will play next at Duluth on Thursday night, 8/30, against Duluth and Johnson.
