Georgia Southern is ranked third in the College Sporting News Preseason FCS Football Poll. The Eagles check in behind 2011 FCS National Championship Game participants North Dakota State and Sam Houston State.
Georgia Southern, who begins Fall Camp on August 2nd, is coming off back-to-back FCS Semifinal appearances, their ninth Southern Conference Title and an 11-3 season.
The poll, which had 33 different teams receiving votes, ranked fellow SoCon members Appalachian State and Wofford sixth and 15th, respectively.
Season tickets for the upcoming 2012 season, which opens September 1st against Jacksonville, remain on sale through the Georgia Southern Athletic Ticket Office.
