BUFORD, Ga. — Buford finished the season on a high note, playing its most complete game and knocking off rival Mill Creek to win the Region 8-6A championship.
“It wasn't perfect, you know, but we found a way to win,” Buford coach Bryant Appling said after his Wolves beat the Hawks 32-7 at Markham Stadium Friday night.
Along with an impressive defensive performance, holding Mill Creek to its lowest offensive output since 2020, Wolves' wide receiver Jordan Allen had a big night receiving.
Buford QB Dayton Raiola connected with the senior Louisville commit five times for 174 yards and three touchdowns.
His performance has earned him this week's Gaining the Edge award.
