18 Brenau students from N. Ga. inducted into honor society

GAINESVILLE - Brenau University has inducted a number of students from North Georgia into the university's chapter of the National Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society for First Year Students.

They are:

Lindsey Adams from Murrayville. She is the daughter of Chad and Melanie Adams.

Sharon Nichole Black from Dahlonega. She is the wife of Richard Black of Gainesville, Ga., and the daughter of Theresa Jordan and Robert Humphrey.

Keri Lynn Broughton from Atlanta. She is the daughter of Thomas and Sandra Broughton.

Savannah Gabrielle Browder from Dawsonville. She is the daughter of Allan and Joan Browder and of Alicia Piper.

Kayla Childers from Dallas. She is the daughter of Steve and Nancy Childers.

Kelsey Coates from Royston. She is the daughter of Keith and Debbie Coates.

Jessica N. Cramblett from Dahlonega. She is the daughter of Loretta Cramblett and Jose Magana.

Star Cummings from Riverdale. She is the daughter of Ricky and Connie Cummings.

Macy Dwyer from Gainesville. She is the daughter of Kevin and Laurie Seitz.

Tatiana Madera from Gainesville. She is the daughter of Guadalupe Madera.

Kristen Anna McVey from Alpharetta. She is the daughter of Eric and Connie McVey.

Sarah Rooker from Jasper. She is the daughter of Debbie Rooker.

Chantal Brooke Russell from Union City. She is the daughter of Herman and Vivian Russell

Katie Blaine Smith from Gainesville. She is the daughter of Randy and Sally Smith.

Kari Diane Smith-Murphy from Flowery Branch. She is the wife of Blake Murphy.

Madison Strickland from Flowery Branch. She is the daughter of Greg and Lisa Strickland.

Nadia Abigail Tinoco from Gainesville. She is the daughter of Ortencia Tinoco and Stacy Hall.

Rebecca Belle Willis from Stone Mountain. She is the daughter of Jim and Patti Willis.

Membership in Alpha Lambda Delta is open to full-time freshmen students who earn a scholastic average of 3.5 or better at a four-year college or university.

Founded in the spring of 1924 at the University of Illinois, the honor society recognizes and encourages academic excellence among first-year students. Today, Alpha Lambda Delta has more than 270 chapters throughout the United States. During its history, more than 850,000 students have been initiated into membership.
