GAINESVILLE -- Riverside Military Academy nipped Lakeview Academy Thursday in boys golf action in a battle between Region 8-A teams.
The Eagles edged the Lions 174-179 but Lakeview's John Jacobs took low medalist honors with a 39, beating Riverside's Hunter Dutruch by one stroke.
Justin Cabe shot a 42 and Coleman Lowenthal and Parker Barnes each fired a 46 for Riverside.
For Lakeview, Chris Gay had a 45, John Cox a 47, and Kevin Baldwin a 48.
