OAKWOOD -- The West Hall girls moved over .500 in Region 8B-AAA after thumping Lanier 56-28 Tuesday night at home.
The Lady Spartans (8-15, 5-4 in subregion) have won three straight and five of their last seven games. Against Lanier, West Hall opened with a 16-7 run and held the Lady Longhorns (9-12, 3-5) to just 12 first half points.
Kaelyn Gattis paced West Hall with 16 points. Maia Booker added 10 points and six rebounds and Jensen Hall had nine points fot the Lady Spartans.
Aslee McGrey led Lanier with eight points.
West Hall will play host to Walnut Grove on Friday.
