GAINESVILLE -- Chestatee snapped its 17-game losing streak with an 81-73 win over Lumpkin County Tuesday night in boys basketball action.
The game was back-and-forth through the first half with Chestatee building a 21-14 lead after the first quarter. The Indians rallied to tie the game at 36 by halftime.
The War Eagles then opened a 24-16 lead heading into the fourth quarter and then held on for the win in the final minutes.
Cole Morgan paced Chestatee with 26 points, including five 3-pointers. Keelan Passmore added 12 points and five assists and Jordan DeGraff and Lucas Bennett each had nine points for the War Eagles.
Devontee Anderson led Lumpkin County with 23 points.
