WATKINSVILLE -- Lakview Academy ran its win strak to five straight after a 72-59 win over Athens Academy Friday night in Region 8A-AA boys basketball action.
Austin Montgomery poured in a career-high 32 points for Lakeview Academy. Austin Pearson had 17 points and Matt Askounis 10 points for the Lions.
The game was still in doubt after lakeview led just 50-45 heading into the final period.
But the Lions used a 22-14 fourth quarter to put the game away.
