ATLANTA - A cold front is expected to sweep across Georgia Friday, bringing much cooler temperatures.
Forecasters say the front will make it finally feel like fall.
National Weather Service forecasters say gusty winds will also accompany the front Friday afternoon and Friday night, increasing the wildfire threat in Georgia.
Forecasters say low temperatures are expected to drop into the upper 40s in parts of metro Atlanta and elsewhere in north Georgia by Friday night and into the 30s in some mountain regions. That raises the possibility of some frost in those mountain regions, the Weather Channel's Jeff Enro tells Georgia News Network.
The high temperatures in most of north Georgia Saturday are expected to be in the 60s under sunny skies.
